Orthodox Weddings

Orthodox weddings are available in only one location in Italy and that is Venice. The ceremony is Greek Orthodox and you will need to be married civilly prior to the ceremony taking place as the priest can only perform a blessing. Specific religious requirements must be completed prior to the priest's approval. The church is Byzantine and very beautiful with icons and magnificent altar piece dating hundreds of years. It holds about 50 comfortably and can be reached via gondola by the bride and wedding party. It is in the historical center of the city.
