Your personal wedding coordinator will be by your side every step of the way assisting you with all aspects your special day from the bureaucratic procedures to menu and reception selection.

What does it take to be a good wedding planner? Most people think that what we look for in a wedding planner is someone who loves to organize, someone who sees problems as opportunities, and someone with a bulldog's determination to find answers and to get a job done regardless of what obstacles may be placed in the way of the goal.

While any wedding planner who works for us must have those qualities, those aren't the qualities that we look for first. The primary qualities that one of our wedding planners must have, first and foremost, are a terrific personality and a genuine love of people. You must be someone who actually listens to what their clients want and someone who has the knack of making people feel as if they are friends rather than clients.

Once we find someone like that - then we see if they are also a bulldog.

Of course, there are a few less esoteric qualities that we also require - such as experience in planning and executing weddings in a variety of settings (including civil, religious, and symbolic) and a through knowledge of Italian wedding laws and the paperwork that is required. Having an intimate knowledge of and a working relationship with a variety of florists, photographers, musicians, caterers, limo and classic car companies, costume houses, hairdressers, tailors and even candlestick makers is a big plus.

Our wedding planners must be extremely organized but they also must have the ability to be flexible and to adapt to changing conditions. They must be resourceful and be able to see “outside the box.” Every bride and every wedding is unique. There are no cookie-cutter weddings. Our wedding planners must thrive on a certain amount of controlled chaos.

For this reason we also look for wedding planners with the ability to learn - to learn from seminars and other venues specifically designed to teach and/or train wedding consultants, but, just as importantly, our wedding planners must be able to learn from their experiences, to learn from the people they work with, and to learn from the clients they help. Every contact that a wedding planner makes is a chance to learn something new, something of value that may be used now or sometime in the future.

Planning a wedding is not easy. If it were then just anyone could do it. In order to be a good wedding planner you must be part psychologist and willing to hold people's hands and to guide them through waters in which they have never traveled before. A wedding is every bit as much of an emotional experience as it is a physical reality and a good wedding planner must never lose sight of either of those needs.

By the same token, being a wedding planner is an exciting and challenging job. If you've got the people skills as well as the organizational skills and the experience we're looking for, then why not contact us and put your bulldog traits to one of the most rewarding uses you can possibly imagine - bringing love and happiness into the world, one couple at a time.
