Dear Max,
Thanks a lot for your wishes!
The wedding is just a few days ago and despite we are working again in our offices, we are still a little bit in Venice!
It was "Unforgettable"! I was of course a little bit stressed. Planning something from one country to another, by mail and phone is also a little an adventure but I must say it was better than expected. So we were really satisfied and our guests too!
Your photographer was really perfect, a very friendly person, very patient!
The flowers were exactly what we wanted = perfect!
The garden of the palazzo was very beautiful and we really appreciate it. The cocktail, especially the "Bellini Cocktail" was very nice; everything was fine!
The boat-tour was nice and Burano a very nice place.
Last but not least, absolutely nothing to say about the Hotel. The manager was very professionally! Everything was really, really perfect! The Marco Polo Room is a very beautiful place!!!
The musicians were also fantastics. I would suggest them to everyone.
The favors were nice too.
So what else to say? Again and again: Thank you very, very much Max!
We will certainly return to Venice, maybe next year?! What was funny too, all the "Auguri" in the streets! The gondola ride to the townhall was also fantastic. A MUST!
We are quite sure that we will be in many photo-albums of many tourists!!!
I think we would recommend your organization to everyone who would like to plan a wedding in Venice or elsewhere! Our wedding day was worry-free, only enjoying, nothing to do!!!
Kind regards,
Danielle and Chris Morgan Civil Wedding Ceremony in Venice - February 14th, 2008 British Citizens Danielle.Morgan@bwin.org
Our Perfect Day Ever since I can remember I have seen an advertisement on the television of a pretty blonde lady getting married in Italy standing by a huge fountain, she looked so elegant, relaxed and at ease so this has stayed in my mind even before we started visiting Italy. Me and my then Fiancé, first visited Venice, Valentines 2007 for a romantic break. We love Italy the shopping, the culture, good food and wine Venice was everything that we envisaged and fell in love with it straight away, from the enchanting costumes of the carnival - to the damask mist from the February cold, made the the place truly mystical. On our return it was then we decided that this would be our chosen venue. We decided on a small wedding of 30 something, with only our nearest and dearest. We set about doing some research on the internet and instantly called upon the services of Italian Weddings, as they seemed like the perfect choice. Their website was user friendly and although they were based in Milan they had wedding coordinators from your chosen city that new the area and would cater for your every need. Plenty of correspondence to finalise details and paperwork. I had a clear picture of how I wanted our wedding to be, regal, vintage but more importantly wanting to be good hosts that brought a welcoming and relaxed feeling to our guests at the same time. I was very lucky as Chris allowed me to finalise everything and he to oversee the spending and important stuff like paper work etc, which I clearly had not interest in:-) As Venice is on water it made sense to use local suppliers for transport reasons; the florist arranged everything from Brides bouquet bridesmaids pomanders button holes town hall and reception flowers. On the morning of out wedding I had my hair done by T. and G. along with the bridesmaids, I then had my make up done by R. who came to our Hotel. Our wedding was a civil ceremony at the Palazzo Cavalli town hall and was translated in English, although couples tend to do the church wedding it was just a romantic because of the grandness. We arrived by gondolier separately with our parents and bridesmaids The service was perfect - we were then given a small Murano glass memento from the town hall as a keep sake. Again we had seen our chosen reception on the website. Private Venetian Palace, which was a lovely grand house owned by a venetian lady who lived there and hired her home out for people to enjoy. This was walking distance from the wedding ceremony, so along with our guests, wedding coordinator Gemma and a great photographer we casually strolled through st Marks square, taking pictures along the way. On entering there ceremony myself and Chris quickly had a look around to admire the decor, before the guests and take some pictures. The dining area was very regal and had a very tasteful Chrystal chandelier that dominated the room, the tables were laid with silver candelabras, and the florist arranged huge glass champagne like goblets, as centre pieces, adorned with domes of pink roses to match the brides and bridesmaids flowers. The Catering company were faultless, champagne reception and canapés on arrival. Once seated the wedding menu was a mixed appetiser, a Marco Polo seafood lasagne, fillet of beef stuffed with porcini mushrooms, followed by a medley of the deserts - tiramisu, pannacotta and semi freddo. After dessert, guests were treated to a slice of wedding cake which was a traditional iced almond and cream sponge with a glass of Laurent Perrier rosé. Added extras Local wines supplied by caterer Plenty of pink champagne to tie in with my colour scheme Favours Charbonel et Walker pink champagne butter hearts, amaretto di Saronno-men- lemoncello-ladies, euro million lottery tickets Charbonel et Walker champagne truffles on every table All wedding stationary Sprinter Printer Bridesmaid gift Chopard pink enamel pens, Swarovski Crystal hair bands Mother of the bride gifts -floating crystal toasting flutes Attire Bride dress Vera Wang, shoes Gina, tiara Swarovski Crystal Groom, best man father of the bride suits Burns, Formby Bridesmaid Coast, ballet shoes French sole
It's only now that the day is over, we can appreciate the surroundings, everyone and everything, that helped contribute to a truly perfect day and one that we and our guests will never forget. I would like to thank all at Italian Weddings, the photographer who helped capture effortless pretty pictures, our guests but most of all my husband Chris for allowing me to let my vivid imagination run away with me x
