Hi Daniela,

I don't think you received my two other emails.  I sent you an email a week after the ceremony and then again a week or so ago?  We did have a lot of problems with sending emails whilst we were away.  We only got back from the south of France on Friday 31st August.

David and I are so grateful to you for organizing everything.  It was such a fabulous day and everyone was nice and friendly.  We are more than happy to give you a reference so please let me have any details I need to prepare one.

I cannot thank Daniela enough for arranging our renewal of vows in Portofino.  We had actually scheduled to renew our vows the previous year in Barbados, everything was booked for over a year and three weeks before hand my Father-in-law was diagnosed with cancer and died.  Needless to say we cancelled.

We had already planned to be away during the summer and decided in June this year that we would try and renew our vows in Italy in August!!  We actually went away at the end of July until September so as you can imagine we didn't have much time.  I have never met Daniela or anyone from Italian Weddings.  I told Daniela exactly what we wanted and she immediately set about organising it, this was all done by email.

David and I renewed our vows and so we had a very small scale, but fantastic day.  We only had our children there, so in total there was us and our five children.  We renewed our vows on our boat and finished off with a lunch at the Hotel Splendido.

The first time I spoke to Daniela was when my youngest Step Daughter was about to come and join us in Portofino and was in tears over her outfit.  She had not visited the dressmaker in the UK very much (actually twice) and needless to say when she got the outfit home it wasn't entirely fitted.  I phoned Daniela the morning before the ceremony in a panic to see if she could get a dressmaker to sort the outfit out when my Step Daughter arrived in Italy, to which she said she would call me back.  Literally 5 minutes later she phoned me to say she had organised a dressmaker to see her if she drove straight from the airport to the dressmaker.  It was ready early the following morning and all was happy.

My step son decided he would like his hair cut the day of the ceremony and Daniela organised two hairdressers to come to the boat on the morning of the ceremony and do all our hairs and his.

We had the best photographer ever, Carlo.  He was very expensive but so worth it.  He flew in from Florence the day before the ceremony.  We had a very stormy two days in Portofino on the boat, the boat was really moving about in the mooring but he did fantastically well. 

At the last minute I also asked Daniela if someone could video the ceremony, and she also got a lovely gentleman to come and make a DVD of the day.

We had a fabulous lunch arranged for us by Daniela at the Hotel Splendido, with the pink champagne I had requested and printed menus as a keepsake.  She had even done an Italian style wedding cake, meringue and fresh cream and strawberries, which I hadn't requested but was a lovely surprise.  She also organised the transport to and from the hotel.

Needless to say we were very impressed.  Especially as Daniela only had 10 weeks to do all the above in.
