Civil Wedding in Cortina D’Ampezzo
Sorry to have taken so long to reply. I no sooner got home from Italy than I had to get on another plane to San Francisco for a week and then to Las Vegas for a week.
Quite frankly, I can't imagine having done a wedding in Italy without your assistance - that is, of course, your assistance and all of the other people you had helping out. From my part of the event everything was wonderfully coordinated and came off very well. Each of your people was helpful, where they were supposed to be when they were supposed to be and very pleasant to spend a little time with. The photographer was easy to work with and fun - though we haven't seen the pictures as yet. The florist produced a boquet that looked just like the picture Carrie had sent.
As you may recall the weather was very bad the day we had to travel to Trieste so we didn't get to see much scenery - in fact we were quite thankful to have made it there and back considering the roads. We did arrive on time in Trieste though we had to leave Cortina at about 4:30 in the morning to accomplish that! I am sure we would have spent a couple of days there getting everything done instead of a couple of hours had we not had help. The same is true for dealing with the paperwork in Cortina. The differences in the legal documents between the USA and Italy cause issues that would be extremely difficult to resolve without a thorough understanding of both languages.
In spite of the paperwork and language issues we had (all of your people spoke wonderful English by the way) I should say that the government people we did come in contact with were pleasant to deal with in each case. I can only imagine that had we done this in any other country our experience would have been much worse. I guess that is one of the small reasons we both do love Italy - the people are really very wonderful (and the food, and the scenery, and the ...)
The hotel we stayed in was very nice indeed. Again the staff was friendly and helpful - the night front desk man even helped dig our car out of the snow to see us on our way to Trieste at 4:30 in the morning! The food and service were generally very good and the New Year's celebration was well done and fun.
All in all, it was a lovely wedding. Thank you very much for your help. You should notice that I have already referred someone else to you. If you need me to be a reference for others let me know.

Civil Wedding in Cortina
Hi!
We just arrived back in Austin July 30th - tired but happy!
Our wedding in Cortina d'Ampezzo couldn't have been better. The only word for it was "magical". Surrounded by misty mountains and the forest, parading down the quaint pedestrian streets in our wedding attire, actually being married by the mayor of the town, receiving congratulations from strangers in all different languages - it was much more than I expected.
Hotel Ancora was perfect. The receptionists were so friendly, and our room was like a mountain cottage. The owner even invited us back for champagne after the ceremony! We agreed that when we go back for our anniversaries, we have to stay at the Ancora.
The photographer & videographer were also fabulous. Giuseppe was so animated and funny! He made what could have been a boring photography session, entertaining and fun. He took a wide variety of shots, including some by a beautiful mountain lake and in a stranger's flower-covered barn! The bouquet was beautiful and complimented all of the alpine flowers surrounding us. I can't wait to get the photos. I'm sure they'll be the best wedding pictures I've ever seen.
After our wedding, we spent several days driving and hiking around the mountains - Pieve di Livinallongo, Corvara, Sappada, and even Austria. Did you know that it snowed our wedding night? Imagine that. Snow in July! However, it warmed up after that, and we had a string of gorgeous sunny days. We then drove through Aquilea to see the Roman ruins, and spent a couple of days in Venice before flying back home.
I've travelled extensively throughout Europe, and I've never seen such beautiful countryside as that of the Dolomite region of the Italian Alps. I'm so glad that you were able to arrange our wedding there. I've already gotten some of our own pictures developed and enlarged to show at our reception in Texas. While I was at the store buying frames for them, people approached me three different times telling me how beautiful the place in the pictures was. If you have any clients who want to get married in July or August, I would definitely recommend Cortina.

Civil Wedding in Cortina
We have now arrived home and back to normal routine. Our wedding in Cortina was FANTASTIC. It was a real fairytale wedding, everything we had dreamed of and much much more. The location was wonderful, the interpreter was lovely, the flowers were exactly what I would have chosen myself and the photographer, well, he was the best of all. We are extremely pleased with the photos, we can not explain how fantastic they are.
Even though we had a few minor problems along the way we would not have changed it for the world, it was still much less stressful than doing it at home. We will definitely be advising all our friends who plan
to get married to get in touch with you.
We would just like to thank you very much for all you have done to make this happen, it was the best day of
our life, so far... just so that you know we are now expecting our first child!!
