Civil Wedding in Portovenere, Italian Riviera
The wedding was fantastic, wonderful, perfect, everything we wanted!! Our guests had an enjoyable trip, for the wedding and visiting the region. Our translators, were very professional and personable - they really made the bureaucratic experience very easy for us. As well, the people at the consulates and the comune di Portovenere were very kind, and we're grateful for their friendly attention to our wedding. The town official, was exceptional; she did a terrific job of officiating our ceremony. And the guitar player, was a true artist with his guitar.
Our hotel, Paradiso, was perfect -- the staff really took care of us and made us feel like a king and queen. The staff at Taverna del Corsaro, was very friendly and the food was so delicious!! We had a very festive atmosphere during the reception - it was so much fun that our friends want to get married the same way. Italy is as beautiful as ever, our second home, and we will always return.
I don't know how else to describe our experience. We give thanks to you for all the assistance you have provided during the 5 months before the wedding. THANK YOU ALL VERY MUCH!

Thanks so much for your good regards and congratulatory wishes. We are very happy and are enjoying our honeymoon through Europe.
We were very satisfied with the way things turned out on our wedding day. Villa Durazzo was an amazing location in which to have the wedding, and everyone involved (Rolando, the harpist, the photographer, the staff of Villa Durazzo, and the Major) made us feel that the day was our special day. We appreciate this very much.
In addition, all the help we received from Francesca and Rolando (and you behind the scenes) with our meetings was terrific. We really couldn't have made our way through the maze of paperwork and bureaucracy without all of your help! Thank you so much.
Our family and friends were delighted by our wedding. Beth's mother even went so far as to call it a "fairy tale" wedding!
I have to say that up front, we were very nervous because we didn't know how wonderful the civil ceremony was going to be. This is why we were so keen to write our own vows. It turned out to be very nice - and fun, as well. My advice to you is to let people know how neat the civil ceremony is, so they don't have to worry! Our vows were wonderful as well, however, and we were glad to have been able to include them thanks to our friend Kate who knew what we wanted and helped coordinate the room at the villa and flow of the ceremony.
You are welcome to use us as a reference in the future. We think you all did a great job.

P.S. I should mention the photographer was great - very fun and inventive. We can't wait to see the photos and negatives, but won't be able to see them until we return home. Please let him know we will contact him when we see the pictures.

Civil wedding in Santa Margherita Ligure
Sorry it took me so long to respond to your e-mail but there was so much to do when we got back. I wanted to send our appreciation and much thanks for all you did to make our wedding so wonderful and special. We were pleasantly surprised how everything just fell into place with no trouble or problems.
Helena and Rolando were great! They made everything so easy for us which allowed us to relax and enjoy your beautiful country. They were helpful and fun to get to know. They were also kind enough to provide us directions to our hotel in Venice. That was a big plus since we probably would have taken longer to find it without their help. Mr. Mario worked miracles with my hair and I truly loved the style.
We are so grateful that you suggested Santa Margherita for our wedding. We loved....it was hard to leave in spite of the fact that Venice was our destination after Santa Margherita. We both said we would like to return and spend more time in Santa Marghertia and get to the Cinque Terre next time.
Of course we also loved Siena, Florence and Venice. Siena was so picturesque and breathtaking!! Everything smelled so good too. I've been telling everyone that they must visit Italy because I can't describe it and my photographs just aren't as good as the real thing.
Again, a thousand thanks for everything. Without you, Helena and Rolando we could not have done it. We have wonderful memories that will be with us forever. Although, we hope to make it back to Italy soon. I hope all is well with you. I cannot wait to get our wedding photos.(The photographer was just fun and very professional too) Villa Durazzo was such a great setting for the ceremony and the photographs! I hope to hear from you soon.
