Unique characteristics of the Murano Wedding Hall
Murano, very often described as an island, is, like Venice, an archipelago of five small islands linked by bridges.
In 1291 all the glassmakers in Venice had to move to Murano. Since the city buildings of the time were made of wood, the fire could spread out of the artisan's ovens and destroy everything. As the main producer of glass in Europe, Murano became famous and glassmaking became an art. The island's chandeliers were in great demand.
In the fifteenth century the wealthy Venetians started building beautiful palaces on Murano and used them as their summer residences.
This ancient Palazzo where the civil weddings take place was built between the twelfth and thirteenth century and remains a beautiful example of Byzantine architecture.
The salone where the couples exchange their vows has a panoramic balcony directly facing Murano Grand Canal.
A romantic Italian Wedding Hall indeed!
