Unique characteristics of La Salle Wedding Hall
The residence of an aristocratic family from the thirteen century, the Viard. this historical building now hosts the Wedding Hall of La Salle. The ancient family became extinct towards the beginning of the sixteenth century and the last descendant, Stefania, passed on the family possessions to her husband, Gerballa. Sometime later their descendants changed their second name into Gerbollier. In 1859 Cassiano Gerbollier, owner of the house during that time, donated it to the town. This is the reason why the structure is called Maison Gerbollier. Concerts and cultural events take place here during the summer. A local folkloristic group of about fifty people, Les Sallereins, play the accordion while other members dance, dressed in costumes that are the exact replicas of clothing worn by the inhabitants of the ancient Chatelard castle.
In the winter the scenery changes as the snow transforms the area into a white wonderland, a dream place for a winter destination wedding!
