Cortona, one of the oldest cities in Tuscany, is a town with medieval flavour and Etruscan origins only fifty miles from Florence. Built on a hill planted with vineyards and silvery olive groves, dominating the Valdichiana plain and Lake Trasimeno, the narrow streets and piazzas are paved with large cobblestones. The Wedding Hall is in city’s main piazza. Dating from the 13th Century, it was enlarged and improved over the centuries. The crenellated tower was incorporated at the beginning of the 16th Century and a flight of steps leads to the entrance. Steeped in history, this is a truly romantic wedding location in Italy!
