Location	In the heart of Sorrento, on the Amalfi Coast. Built on a cliff overlooking the water. 35 km from Naples, 34 Km. from Amalfi, 17 Km. from Positano, 16 Km. from Pompei and 30 minutes by hydrofoil from Capri.
Setting	Spectacular surroundings, incredible sea views and romantic architecture. Nice garden at the entrance of the hotel.

Interior	Unique interior, decorated with Pompeian-style frescoes as well as eighteenth century frescoes. French, English and Italian antiques furnish the different halls and rooms. Bright winter garden.

Accommodations	66 standard rooms, 19 junior suites, 5 suites. The rooms are all different, but all of them have a small balcony either with sea or garden view.
Receptions	Two internal halls with Pompeian theme frescoes open up to a large terrace with a colonnade and breathtaking views of the Gulf of Naples! Ideal for outdoor receptions. For indoor receptions, beautiful room overlooking the sea with 19th century frescoes.
Entertainment	Live soft music; piano, sax, violin. Piano bar, Neapolitan folklore show, animation theatre, Brazilian show with dancers from Ipanema, tarantella.
Ceremonies	Symbolic onsite, civil and catholic in Sorrento and protestant nearby.
Restaurant	Spacious, bright restaurant with sea views offering traditional local dishes with a refined presentation. Great selection of wines. Open for breakfast and dinner. Lunch is served on two different terraces. Snack bar.

Unique Characteristics of this Romantic Villa Hotel on the Sea

This one of a kind venue in Sorrento was built in the eighteenth century as a private home, on the foundations of a Roman villa dating from the 2nd century BC. Many emperors, including Caesar Augustus and Tiberius, stayed at the villa.

Transformed into a hotel in the nineteenth century, writers, artists, politicians and poets have come here to savor the unique atmosphere and setting.

Among its admirers was the Empress Eugenie of France, wife of Napoleon III, who adored the romantic setting. The Amore suite, where she stayed, was decorated with frescoes in her honor.

The atmosphere here is certainly not of a hotel, but of a luxury private residence on the coast.

The various public rooms are truly unique. The terrace is superb and one of our more highly rated outdoor locations for receptions. The frescoes are a wonder to behold and strolling through the property you will discover special touches in every room.

Step outside and you have a selection of several locations for civil weddings, one of which is a romantic former cloister with flowering vines dating from the 1300's. Everything is within walking distance.

This is quite an enchanting hotel and has become one of our favorites; romance is certainly in the air!
